Debbie joined John Waddell & Co., CPAs in 1989 and is the Director responsible for the Firm’s audit practice. Debbie is a member of both the American Institute of CPA’s and the California Society of CPA’s. She is currently the chair of the California Society of CPAs Peer Review Committee, the body responsible for monitoring CPA firm compliance with professional standards in California, Arizona & Alaska. She is also a past member of the Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee of the California Society of CPA’s.

Debbie graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. While attending Cal, Debbie was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, a business honor fraternity and Beta Alpha Psi, an accounting honor society. She also received the Excellence in Accounting Award from a national CPA firm.
After graduation, Debbie joined a national accounting firm in their Columbia, South Carolina office. While with that office she became a senior accountant handling banking, real estate, and manufacturing clients. She then transferred to the Sacramento office of the same firm where she was promoted to manager, serving a variety of clients including health care, nonprofit, governmental, and commercial entities.
Debbie served on the Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees of the Sacramento Medical Foundation – Blood Center, and she also served on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Zoological Society for many years. Debbie is married with three children, and she enjoys hula, golf, and paddle-surfing.
