Ken joined John Waddell & Co., CPAs in 1981 and became a Director of the Firm in 1984. Ken assumed the position of Managing Director in 1996. He provides tax planning, accounting, and financial consulting for his clients, which include professionals, manufacturing, and wholesale concerns. Ken also practices in the areas of estate and gift taxation, handling planning and compliance issues for many trusts and estates.
Ken is a member of American Institute of CPA's and the California Society of CPA's. He has been active on the State Society's Government Relations and Personal Financial Planning Committees. In that capacity Ken was the Society's representative on a Senate Tax Force on the Regulation of Financial Planners. |

Ken is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the California Society of CPA’s. He has been active on the State Society’s Government Relations and Personal Financial Planning Committees. In that capacity Ken was the Society’s representative on a Senate Tax Force on the Regulation of Financial Planners.
Ken attended both the University of California at Davis and California State University, Sacramento, where he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. While at CSUS Ken was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, a business honor fraternity.
Ken worked as a Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Service for more than three years in the Sacramento area. He specialized in the audit of businesses, high income taxpayers, and tax shelters. Ken was also assigned to the San Francisco office to coordinate a special tax compliance program. In Sacramento, he served as an instructor for emerging tax issues.
Ken has spent many years on the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of Sacramento – Emigrant Trails, is a former president of the Association, and was the recipient of the Association’s Volunteer of the Year Award in 1987. Ken also served on the Board of the ALA of California and was the state’s representative to the American Lung Association National Council.
Ken is married (his wife is also a CPA) and his hobbies include landscaping, hiking, and photography. Many of Ken’s photographs can be seen at the Firm’s offices.
