Marc is a Tax Director with John Waddell & Co., CPAs. Since joining the firm in 1986, he has assisted a variety of clients with tax planning and tax compliance matters. Some of the businesses include wholesale distributors, real estate, professional service corporations, retail, and not-for-profits.
Marc is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree with honors in 1978, and a Masters of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1984. |

After graduation, Marc joined the Sacramento staff of a national accounting firm. In 1983 he left the national accounting firm to join a large real estate developer in Stockton, where as a financial analyst he was responsible for analyzing real estate investments, primarily for their tax implications and financing alternatives. In 1985 he became a Director of the Tax Department of a local firm in Hawaii, and joined John Waddell & Co., CPAs in 1986.
Marc has been active for several years in the American Institute of CPA’s and the California Society of CPA’s. He is presently a member of the Tax Committee of the State Society and is an Associate Member of the Sacramento County Bar Tax Section. Marc has been an instructor in accounting and tax courses and has made several presentations on tax matters for organizations in the Sacramento area. He has also published articles on tax matters and tax planning in business journals.
Marc lives in Rocklin and is married with two children. He has been active as a volunteer for the local YMCA.
