Greg Burke joined John Waddell & Co., CPAs in 1984 and became a shareholder in the Firm in 1989.  Greg provides tax, accounting and litigation support services to a variety of clients and attorneys throughout California.  He has testified as an expert witness in civil and criminal cases in federal and state court.

 

 

Greg is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs.  He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the National Association of Forensic Economists.  Greg has written articles on taxation and litigation support topics for a variety of professional publications.  He has participated as a faculty expert in the Hastings College of Law Trial Advocacy Program

Greg is a native Sacramentan.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Economics from the University of California at Davis and a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

After graduation from UCD, Greg joined the Internal Revenue Service, where he held positions as a Tax Auditor and an Internal Revenue Agent from 1978 through 1984.  In these positions he conducted income tax examinations of individuals and corporations.  In addition to his regular duties, Greg was called upon to conduct appeals hearings and teach taxation, accounting, and auditing at the IRS Western Regional Training Center in San Francisco.

Greg and his wife, Jean, enjoy travelling, gardening, and regular exercise.  They live in Sacramento.
